Chair Person’s Message

Dear Students,

“I delightfully welcome you to the Institute Of Science family.

A sound programme of professional education of teacher is essential for the qualitative improvement of education. This requires a sound and value added pre-service teacher education. Institute of Science, Poona has started its Swami Vivekanand College of Education (SVCE) with a view to develop the quality teachers. It is my vision to provide the world with motivated, responsible and disciplined youth, to shape a better future. I believe this can be achieved by strengthening their foundation upon which they can create a successful future for themselves and the society around them.

Along with the academic excellence and vast co-curricular and extra – curricular opportunities, we provide our students with an exposure to the realities of the world. We sculpt them into competitive, empathetic, optimistic individuals who strive to succeed in every challenge they face.

On account of the rapid growth of globalization, exchange programmes in all fields, merging Indian economy with the Global economy, created demands of specialized Human Resource in all fields, including Education. The need of teachers has become one of the important factors as far as exchange programmes are concerned. SVCE aims at bringing about total development of the personality of the aspiring Teachers going for specialization in the various subjects.

Large number of advertisements from various countries like England, America, Canada, East-Asian Countries and African Countries indicate that there is a great employability especially in the field of Education.

We aim at ensuring that our comprehensive development programs provide students with an international learning experience, while preserving our core Indian values.

With such qualities imbibed within them, our students are bound to “Arise, Awake, Ascend” to greater heights and a greater tomorrow.

‘Swami Vivekanand College of Education’ is thus standing for making the young budding Teachers globally competent.

I wish success to the aspirants for future endeavors.”
