Institute of Science Poona, (IOS) established in the year 1956 is known as one of the oldest educational institution and pioneer in Pune district, in the field of education having a wildest network of all types of education segments.

Under the umbrella of IOS, currently three colleges are functioning smoothly and efficiently – Institute of Business Management and Research, College of Computer Sciences and Swami Vivekanand College of Education. Considering the necessity of the industrially advanced and fast developing area of PCMC and Hinjewadi IT Park,

IOS is now coming up with one more college i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science Junior College. The message from Mahatma Gandhi, “By Education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind and spirit” is in consonance with the goal of Arts, Science and Commerce Junior College, Wakad.

The medium of instruction of the Junior College is English with initial intake capacity of 120 each for Arts, Commerce, and Science respectively. The college adheres to the fast growing pace of the society in the field of Science and Technology. With a commitment towards quality education, the junior college is established with modern infrastructural set-up, highly qualified, trained, experienced and dedicated staff, on campus various facilities and an opportunity for exploring and learning beyond the curriculum. An amicable environment at our Institute nurtures creativity, passion, resilience and leadership qualities among the students for the development of versatile personality. The progress of an institute depends mainly on the performance of the students in academics, sports and cultural activities while maintaining high values and ethics. Our teachers are committed and dedicated towards the development of the Institution by imparting their knowledge and play the role of facilitator, mentor and role model to our students.
